A Coastal Flood Watch has been issued for Wells, starting at 6:00 am on Thursday, April 4th, with the next (and hopefully last) winter storm coming our way. We are expecting heavy wet snows that may down trees, limbs, and power lines over the coming days.
According to weather forecasts, the storm is expected to bring heavy rain and snow accompanied by high winds. These conditions may potentially lead to power outages and hazardous road conditions. Thursday Morning, we anticipate coastal flooding with the 7:50 am high tide, due to elevated seas and high winds.
Our public officials and Public Works and Public Safety departments are closely monitoring the situation and will be on standby to address any issues that may arise during the storm. Please take the necessary precautionary measures to ensure your safety and stay off the roads when possible. If you must venture out, exercise extreme caution while driving.
